How to create an API key and Secret Key in Bitfinex?

1. API keys are for read-only access.
2.Supported transaction types for this API connection are:(All Trades, Transfers)
 

STEP 1: Log in to your Bitfinex account using your login credentials.

STEP 2: In the top right-hand corner, hover over the profile icon to open up the drop-down menu.

STEP 3: Select “API Keys.”

STEP 4: Click on "Create New API" to begin with the process.

STEP 5: Choose the permissions that you would like to grant through your new API key.

STEP 6: Click on "Generate API Key" to complete the process.

STEP 7: A pop-up message will appear, asking you to check your email to complete the creation of your new API key.

STEP 8: Go to your email account and click on the "Create API Key" button to generate your API and secret key.

STEP 9: Copy both the API and Secret Keys and paste them in the Binocs Application.
Store the keys in a separate file that you can refer to in case you need them again.

Note that, you should not use the same pair of key and secret keys anywhere else as it may result in API errors in the application.
 

How to connect Bitfinex to Binocs via CSV?

Before uploading it to Binocs, you must first download a CSV file from Bitfinex Containing your complete trade history.These csv allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

1. Please upload all CSVs for current and past years.

2.Only upload Bitfinex CSVs for this exchange.

3.Please ensure that for incremental transactions, data is added only after the last transaction date and with the same account label.

4. Supported transaction types for Bitfinex are:

• Deposits
• Transfers
• Trades
• Withdrawal

STEP 1: Log in to your Bitfinex account using your login credentials.

STEP 2: In the top right-hand corner, scroll over the profile icon to open up the drop-down menu.

STEP 3: Select "Reports" in the top navigation bar.

STEP 4: Select Reports.

STEP 5: Look for the "Export" button and click on it.

STEP 6: Select "Ledgers" as the type of report to download, which contains all your Trades

STEP 7: In the options, select the date format as "DD-MM-YYYY" and uncheck the box for displaying milliseconds.

STEP 8: Click on the "Export" button to initiate the report generation process.

STEP 9: A pop-up message will appear indicating that the CSV file has been shared to your email address.

STEP 10: Go to your email account and click on Download  CSV.

STEP 11: Your csv will look like this ,when you open the Bitfinex Csv.

STEP 12: Save all the downloaded CSV files to your device for future reference.
