To Connect with Gemini, you require a pair of keys - an API key and a secret key. These keys allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

How to create an API key and Secret Key in Gemini?
 

Before you create the API key and secret, please take note of the below points:

1. API keys are for read-only access.
2. Supported transaction types for this API connection are: Transfers, All Trades

STEP 1: Log in to your Gemini account.

STEP 2: Click on the "Account" icon located in the top right corner of the page. From the dropdown menu, select “Settings.”

STEP 3: Scroll down the left side of the settings page until you find the "API" section. Click on it.

STEP 4: From the API section, click on the "Create API Key" button.

STEP 5: Complete the two-factor authentication code .

STEP 6: Select the scope of the API key as "Primary" and click on “Next.”

STEP 7: You will now be presented with an API key and a Secret Key. Copy both of these keys and save them somewhere secure.

STEP 8: Under the API key settings, select the “Auditor.”

STEP 9: Click on the checkbox for “API Secret Acknowledgement.”

STEP 10: Click on the "Create API Key" button to activate your API key and Secret Key.

STEP 11: A pop-up message will appear confirming that your API key and Secret Key have been Activated successfully.

Before uploading it to Binocs, you must first download a CSV file from Gemini containing your complete trade history.These csv allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

1. Please upload all CSVs for current and past years.

2. Only upload Gemini CSVs for this exchange.

3. Please ensure that for incremental transactions, data is added only after the last transaction date and with the same account label.

4. Supported transaction types for Gemini are: Buy, Sell, Credit, Debit

STEP 1: Log in to your Gemini account.

STEP 2: Click on the "Portfolio" button located in the top left corner of the page.

STEP 3: Under the "Quick Links" section, click on “Transaction History.”

STEP 4: On the portfolio page, click on the ellipsis symbol (three dots) and select “Download History.”

STEP 5: In the "Transaction History" section, select "Exchange Transaction History" to access your trading history.

STEP 6: Choose the time range for which you want to download your CSV file.

STEP 7: Click on "Download XLSX" to initiate the download of your transaction history in CSV format.

STEP 8: Your CSV file will be downloaded.

STEP 9: Your CSV will look like this, when you open the Gemini CSV.

STEP 10: Save all the downloaded CSV files to your device for future reference.

NOTE - There is no restriction for downloading CSV. You can choose any date or year. There is only one type of account statement to download CSV, no other type.
