To Connect with Kucoin, you require a pair of keys - an API key and a secret key. These keys allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

How to create an Api key and Secret Key in Kucoin?

STEP 1: Log in to your KuCoin account.

STEP 2: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.

STEP 3: Select "API Management" from the drop-down menu.

STEP 4: Click "Create API Key" in the top right corner of the screen.

STEP 5: In the "API Name" box, enter a name for your API key (E.g "Binocs").

STEP 6: In the "API Passphrase" box, create a passphrase.

STEP 7: Under "API Restrictions," select "General" for read-only access.

STEP 8: Under "IP Restriction," select “No.”

STEP 9: Select the period of validity for the API key. If you want the key to be permanent, select “Permanent.”

STEP 10: For security verification, enter your trading password, Email verification code, and two-factor authentication,and click on Confirm.

STEP 11: A link should be sent your Email to activate the API.Go to your mail and click on Activate API.

STEP 12: You will be presented with your “API and “Secret Key”.

STEP 13: Copy both the API and Secret Keys and paste them in the Binocs Application.

STEP 14: You don't need to store them anywhere as keys can be generated any number of times by following the same process.

Note that, you should not use the same pair of key and secret keys anywhere else as it may result in API errors in the application.

How to connect Kucoin to Binocs with CSV file?

Before uploading it to Binocs, you must first download a CSV file from Kucoin containing your complete trade history.These csv allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

1. Please aggregate all CSVs for current and past years.

2. Only upload Kucoin CSVs for this exchange.

3. Please ensure that for incremental transactions, data is added only after the last transaction date and with the same account label.

STEP 1: Log in to your KuCoin account using  your login credentials.

STEP 2: Click on the "Orders" button located in the top right corner of the screen.
 

STEP 3:From the drop-down menu, select "Spot Trade History".

STEP 4: On the "Trade History" page, select the desired customised time period (within 100 days) for which you would like to generate the CSV report.

STEP 5: Select "ALL" for Pair, Side, and Type, to include all trades in the report.

STEP 6: Click on the "CSV Download” button.

STEP 7: A pop-up window will appear to confirm the details of your report. Verify the information and click on "Confirm".

STEP 8: Once confirmed, a pop-up message will appear stating that the report is being exported and may take some time.

STEP 9: Wait for the report to be generated. You will receive a notification when it is ready.

STEP 10: Click on the notification to view the message that your report is ready.

STEP 11: Click on the report to see the option for Download.

STEP 12: Your CSV will look like this ,when you open the Kucoin CSV.

STEP 13: Save all the downloaded CSV files to your device for future reference.

STEP 14: To generate a Deposit & Withdrawal report, follow the same steps outlined above for the Spot Trade History.
