How to connect OKX to Binocs Via API?

To Connect with Okx, you require a pair of keys - an API key and a secret key. These keys allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

 

How to create an API key and Secret Key in OKX?


Note -
1. API keys are for read-only access.
2. Supported transaction types for this API connection are:(Deposits, Withdrawals, All Trades)

 

STEP 1: Log in to your OKX account using login credentials.

 

STEP 2: Click on the "Profile" icon located on the top right corner of the page and select "API" from the drop-down menu.

 

STEP 3: Click on the "Create API Key" button.

 

STEP 4: Select the "API Trading" purpose and give a name to your API key (for example, "New API Test").

 

STEP 5: Create a passphrase for your API key which you should remember for future reference.

 

STEP 6: By default, the "Read" option is selected under permissions. You can select "Read/Write" if you want to enable trading through the API key.

 

STEP 7: Select "Get Code" next to the "Email Code" option. You will receive a verification code in the email address associated with your OKX account. Copy and paste the code into the designated box. You may also need to verify your phone number by entering the SMS code sent to your phone.

 

STEP 8: Click on "Confirm".

 

STEP 9: Your API key and Secret key will be displayed on the screen.

 

STEP 10: Copy both the API and Secret Keys and paste them in the Binocs Application.
You don't need to store them anywhere as keys can be generated any number of times by following the same process.


Note that, you should not use the same pair of key and secret keys anywhere else as it may result in API errors in the application.
 

How to connect OKX to Binocs with CSV file?

Before uploading it to Binocs, you must first download a CSV file from Okx containing your complete trade history.These csv allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.


Note -
1. Please aggregate all CSVs for current and past years.

 

2.Only upload OKX CSV’S for this exchange.

 

3.Please ensure that for incremental transactions, data is added only after the last transaction date and with the same account label.

 

4.Supported Types of csv’s for OKX in Binocs are:

  • Trading Account History
  • Funding Account History

 

5.Supported transaction types for OKX are:  

  • Trading Account History: Buy, Sell, Transfer in, Transfer out, Interest Deduction, Open short, Open long, Close short, Close long.
  • Funding Account History: Withdrawal, Deposit, Place an order, Fulfil an Order, Convert, Claim, Savings Redemption, Savings Subscription.


STEP 1: Log in to your OKX account using your login credentials.

 

STEP 2: Click on "Assets" in the top right corner of the page.

 

STEP 3: Select "Order Center" from the dropdown menu.

 

STEP 4: Click on “Trading Account History.”

 

STEP 5: Click on “Download.”

 

STEP 6: A pop-up message will appear, asking you to select the account type. Choose "All," then select the desired date range.

 

Note: Please note that the option to download CSV files is only available for a period of 90 days. After this time frame, the download option will no longer be accessible.

 

STEP 7: Click on “Export.”

 

STEP 8: Your CSV file will start processing, and it may take some time to complete.

 

STEP 9: Once the status changes to "Download," you can download the CSV file for “Trading Account History”.

 

STEP 10: Follow the same for “Funding Account History CSV”.

 

STEP 11: Your CSV will look like this ,when you open the OKX csv.

 

STEP 12: Save all the downloaded CSV files to your device for future reference.
