How are transactions in CoinSwitch taxed?

Your CoinSwitch transactions are subject to two types of taxes:


  1. TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) of 1% for transactions over Rs. 50,000 in a year
  2. A 30% flat tax on all profits from selling, swapping, or mining cryptocurrency

Does Coinswitch provide tax documents?

No, Coinswitch does not issue tax documents. You can find TDS information in your order details or Trading Report. To calculate your crypto taxes, you can either use your WazirX transaction history and do the calculations yourself or utilize a crypto tax calculator.


How to connect Coinswitch to Binocs via CSV?

Before uploading it to Binocs, you must first download a CSV file from Coinswitch containing your complete trade history.These csv allow our system to read your account history to generate portfolio and compute taxes.

Note -
1. Please upload  all CSVs for current and past years.


2.Only upload Coinswitch CSVs for this exchange.

3. Please ensure that for incremental transactions, data is added only after the last transaction date and with the same account label.


4.Supported transaction types in  Coinswitch are : Buy, Sell

How to download and export your transaction history CSV file from Coinswitch?


STEP 1: Log in to your Coinswitch account using your login credentials.


STEP 2: Click on the profile icon located at the top right corner of the screen.


STEP 3: From the drop-down menu, select “Reports.”


STEP 4: Select "Account Reports" from the available options.


STEP 5: Choose the date range for which you need to download the report. You can choose from options like financial year or custom date.


STEP 6: Once you have selected the desired date range, click on “Get Email.”


STEP 7: A pop-up message will appear on the screen, informing you that your Coinswitch CSV report has been shared with your registered email address.


STEP 8: Go to your email inbox and download the Coinswitch CSV file attachment.


STEP 9: Your downloaded CSV file will contain detailed information about your Coinswitch transactions and will be presented in a tabular format.


STEP 10: Save all the downloaded CSV files to your device for future reference.
